Seth Leavitt has been teaching in Minneapolis for twenty-four years. He taught Middle School Mathematics at Field Middle School since 2001. Prior to that, he taught elementary grades 3, 4, and 5 at Lyndale Community School, Marcy Open School, and Morris Park Community School.

While teaching at Field, Mr. Leavitt co-authored the Rational Number Project Fraction Operations and Initial Decimal Ideas. He has served on the board of the Minnesota Council of Teachers of Mathematics as well as the board of Minnesota Math Masters. He is National Board Certified in Early Adolescent Mathematics.
