Reader's Workshop: Creating a Love of Reading Through Tech LIMITED

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity seats available

The goal of every language arts teacher is to create a classroom full of students who love to read. One of the longtime standby models of creating lifelong readers is readerÍs workshop. This classroom model is tried and true. I began using this model 2 years ago in my middle school classroom, and have experimented with how to effectively integrate technology in order to achieve a few goals: make reading more engaging for students, and make keeping track of students reading goals easier for me. This session will go over the basics of readerÍs workshop in the secondary classroom and how technology can be integrated into the entire process throughout the school year covering: mini lessons, student reading goals, student writing/reflection, teacher task-creation, and teacher organization and much more.
