There is a movement in education called “the maker movement” that is designed around the idea of engaging students with critical thinking and creativity through designing and making things. Schools around the country are incorporating makerspaces in school library media centers and other flexible learning areas. From simple non-tech items like play-doh and yarn, to high-tech items like 3D printers and micro-controllers, makerspaces can be built anywhere. Stop by and play in a makerspace while talking with educators helping to move the maker movement forward.
